![]() They weren’t that different from you and me' “It’s a full circle move for me to be here,” Hall said during a recent interview at Paterson City Hall. Hall previously worked in various capacities in the criminal justice system, going from a police dispatcher’s job to becoming a corrections officer at the Passaic County Jail to working as a Passaic County probation officer. Sometimes, the work can be as basic as assisting someone in getting copies of a birth certificate. But other aspects include housing, social services, and education. In many instances, the focus is on employment. Hall’s mandate is to provide people who once were incarcerated with whatever services they need to help them rebuild their lives and stay out of trouble. ![]() In six months, Hall said she has built up a caseload of 33 reentry clients, a group that includes 25 people who already are out of jail, five who are incarcerated with impending release dates and three in halfway houses.
